‘Lalibazar’ nears Rs 9 crore mark, ‘Roll No. 1’ trails behind

KATHMANDU: The official box office data for domestically screened films has been released, showing strong performance across multiple releases.

According to figures updated until Sunday at 11:55 PM, “Lalibazar” has emerged as the highest-grossing film.

Released on May 1, “Lalibazar” has sold 2,98,227 tickets and generated approximately Rs. 8 crore 78 lakh in revenue, topping the box office chart.

Meanwhile, “Paral ko Aago”, which was released on April 24, has sold 1,54,236 tickets and earned over Rs. 4 crore 28 lakh.

Similarly, “Mitajyu” attracted 46,533 viewers, collecting more than Rs. 1 crore 31 lakh in earnings.

Among other ongoing releases, “Roll No. 1”, which hit theatres on May 30, has sold 32,188 tickets and earned around Rs. 14 lakh 91 thousand.

The film “Kaji” recorded 14,269 ticket sales with earnings exceeding Rs. 44 lakh, while youth-targeted film “Life Dyamage” sold 12,248 tickets, earning Rs. 34 lakh 40 thousand.

Likewise, “Kumbha” sold 1,444 tickets and collected Rs. 3 lakh 32 thousand.

The overall figures indicate a moderately active domestic box office, with “Lalibazar” clearly dominating the current theatrical run.
