One killed in elephant attack in Makwanpur

KATHMANDU: One person was killed last night in Makwanpur in an wild elephant attack.

Janaklal Majhi, 50, of Bakaiya Rural Municipality-5 Pawas, died as a result of an elephant attack.

According to Police Inspector Balram Shrestha of the District Police Office, the elephant attacked a fisher who was on his way to a goat farm near his home at 9 p.m. last night.

Shrestha stated that he was seriously injured and died in the middle of the night while being treated at Hetauda Hospital.
