KATHMANDU: West Indies have named a 15-member squad for the upcoming T20 International series against Nepal, set to take place in Sharjah, UAE, in two weeks’ time.

Experienced left-arm spinner Akeal Hosein will lead the side, with the squad featuring as many as six uncapped players who are set to make their international debuts.

The West Indies Cricket Board confirmed that the selection is part of its long-term strategy to prepare for the upcoming ICC T20 World Cup by giving opportunities to emerging talents. Alongside the newcomers, the squad also includes seasoned internationals such as Jason Holder, Kyle Mayers, Fabian Allen, Keacy Carty, and Obed McCoy—providing a strong balance of youth and experience.

According to the board, the uncapped players have proven themselves through impressive performances in domestic competitions and the Caribbean Premier League.

Their inclusion offers them the chance to showcase their skills on a bigger stage while gaining invaluable exposure to international-level competition and pressure.
