Tottenham wins, Chelsea held 2-2 by Brentford

KATHMANDU: Tottenham Hotspur returned to winning ways with a commanding 3-0 victory over West Ham United, while Chelsea was held to a dramatic 2-2 draw by Brentford in an exciting London derby.
In the Brentford vs Chelsea clash, Fabio Carvalho struck in injury time to secure a point for the hosts.
Kevin Schade had given Brentford the lead in the 35th minute, only for Chelsea’s Cole Palmer, returning from injury, to equalize in the 61st minute.

The draw leaves Chelsea in fifth place, missing an opportunity to climb to the top, while Brentford sit 12th with four points from four matches.
Tottenham dominated West Ham, who played almost half the match with ten men after Tomas Soucek was sent off for a dangerous tackle on Joao Palhinha.
Spurs opened the scoring in the 47th minute through Pape Matar Sarr, followed by Lucas Bergvall’s first Premier League goal in the 57th minute, and a late strike from Micky van de Ven sealed a comfortable 3-0 win.
With nine points, Tottenham now sit level with league leaders Arsenal.
Earlier on Saturday, Newcastle United secured their first win of the season with a 1-0 victory over Wolverhampton Wanderers, courtesy of Nick Woltemade’s goal.
Bournemouth defeated Brighton 2-1, Fulham edged Leeds United 1-0, while Everton drew 0-0 with Aston Villa, and Crystal Palace shared points with Sunderland in a goalless draw.
Arsenal had earlier thrashed Nottingham Forest 3-0, with Martin Zubimendi scoring twice in his Premier League debut.
