Singh was the coach of Deccan Chargers in the inaugural IPL season (2008) and later became Mumbai Indians’ head coach in 2010, contributing to their 2013 IPL title.

He also served as Barbados Tridents’ coach and, in 2020, was appointed Director of Cricket and head coach of the UAE national team, under whom the UAE participated in the 2022 ICC T20 World Cup in Australia.

In the International League T20, he served as GM and head coach of MI Emirates, leading the team to a championship.

As a player, Singh was an all-rounder who represented India in one Test and 136 ODIs, scoring over 2,000 runs and taking 69 wickets.

Lumbini Lions chairman Ishwar Jisi expressed confidence in Singh’s appointment: “Bringing a world-class player and coach like Robin Singh to Lumbini is an opportunity not only for our team but for Nepali cricket as a whole. His international experience and strategic insights will inspire our players and strengthen our team. His leadership will surely help us achieve our goals.”
