Real Madrid maintain perfect start with 2-0 win over Espanyol

KATHMANDU: Real Madrid extended their perfect start in La Liga with a 2-0 victory against Espanyol at the Santiago Bernabéu.

Eder Militão opened the scoring in the 22nd minute with a stunning long-range strike. Kylian Mbappé added the second early in the second half, calmly finishing a pass from Vinícius Júnior past goalkeeper Marko Dmitrović.

This marks Mbappé’s seventh goal of the season across all competitions.

Vinícius also had a chance to score but was denied by the post.
