KATHMANDU: As the election date draws closer, campaign momentum has intensified in Kathmandu Constituency No. 3, with candidates ramping up grassroots outreach.

On Wednesday, Rajunath Pandey, the House of Representatives candidate from the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP), carried out a large-scale door-to-door campaign in areas surrounding Ward No. 4 of Gokarneshwor Municipality.

The campaign began with prayers and worship at the historic and religious Gokarneshwor Mahadev Temple, drawing enthusiastic participation from local voters.

During the outreach, Pandey engaged directly with residents, describing the upcoming election as a decisive moment for “change and good governance.” He stated that the public has grown weary of the long-standing working styles of traditional political parties, and asserted that his candidacy represents a fresh effort to transform the face of Kathmandu-3.

Starting from the temple complex, RSP supporters marched through neighborhood to neighborhood carrying party flags and banners bearing the party’s election symbol, the bell.

Locals warmly welcomed the candidate and shared expectations, particularly emphasizing the need for meaningful reforms in youth employment, education, and healthcare.

The door-to-door campaign saw strong participation from local RSP leaders, members of the youth mobilization committee, and a large number of supporters, reflecting rising enthusiasm ahead of the polls.
