Pandey urges local manpower to boost air services
Pandey stressed that effective aviation service can only be ensured through the production and proper training of local human resources.
KATHMANDU: Hitraj Pandey, Chief Whip of the CPN (Maoist Centre), has emphasized that Nepal must produce and train its own domestic workforce to make the country’s air services more efficient and well-managed.
Speaking at a meeting of the International Relations and Tourism Committee on Thursday, where the Nepal Civil Aviation Authority Bill 2081 was under discussion, Pandey stressed that effective aviation service can only be ensured through the production and proper training of local human resources.
He argued that Nepal should no longer rely on foreign manpower in the aviation sector. “We must produce and train our own people. Let this idea be central to the bill’s objectives,” he said. “It’s time to end our dependency on foreign professionals by investing in domestic human capital.”
Pandey also proposed that the Civil Aviation Authority should operate under the direct leadership of the minister to make it more organized and effective.
