KATHMANDU: Newly appointed Foreign Minister Balananda Sharma took the oath of office from President Ramchandra Paudel on Friday, pledging to enhance Nepal’s international standing.

He emphasized the importance of constructive cooperation with neighboring countries, particularly in matters related to elections.
Sharma also affirmed his commitment to strengthening ties with friendly nations. “I will focus on improving Nepal’s image worldwide.

This is our country, and neglect only brings problems. I am here to advance the ministry and the nation without hesitation,” he said.
Highlighting collaboration with neighboring and emerging nations, Sharma added, “The country is already in election mode. If the ministry needs to coordinate with neighbors or other nations regarding elections, it will be done appropriately.”
