KATHMANDU: Manchester City have advanced to the fourth round of the Carabao Cup, defeating League One side Huddersfield Town 2-0.

Phil Foden was the star of the show, opening the scoring in the 18th minute with a brilliant one-on-one finish against debutant Divine Mukasa and later setting up City’s second goal for Rúben Sávio in the 74th minute.

Pep Guardiola’s side face a hectic schedule, with six games across three competitions in just 18 days. In the fourth round, City will take on Championship club Swansea City.

Elsewhere in the cup, Arsenal defeated Port Vale 2-0, Tottenham Hotspur overcame Doncaster Rovers 3-0, and Newcastle United routed Bradford City 4-1.
