Man held for punching pedestrian

KATHMANDU: Kathmandu traffic police have arrested a man for allegedly punching a pedestrian.

The arrestee, identified as car driver Paras Bam, was taken to the Traffic Police Office at Ramshahpath, according to SSP Nawaraj Adhikari of the Kathmandu Valley Traffic Police.

The incident occurred in front of Chappal Factory, where Bam reportedly got out of his car and physically assaulted a pedestrian.

A video of the incident circulated on social media, showing the man verbally abusing and hitting the pedestrian, while a woman can also be heard scolding him.

Police have confirmed that further investigation into the incident is underway.
