KATHMANDU: Kaushi Theatre, located in Teku, has entered its ninth year of operation after completing eight years of establishment, celebrating the milestone with the premiere of a new stage production titled “The Taste of Selroti.”
The play, conceptualized, written, designed, and directed by Milson D. Chamling, officially began regular performances from Asar 7.

It weaves together three distinct narratives from different time periods into a single emotional thread, exploring themes of memory, pain, and anticipation.

The production features actors Vedana Rai and Prayas Bantawa Rai in leading roles.

The performance blends myth, art, multilingual expressions, and cinematic stage techniques to create a layered theatrical experience that reflects human emotions across time.

Production management and assistant direction have been handled by Ranjana Bhattarai, while the background score has been composed by Anurag Koich.

The play presents an artistic exploration of human relationships, separation, grief, and longing, aiming to take audiences on a reflective journey through time and memory.

“The Taste of Selroti” will be staged daily at 5:15 PM until Asar 28, except on Tuesdays.

Additionally, special shows will be held on Saturdays at 1:00 PM.
