‘I Am Jit Bahadur’ premieres in Kathmandu

KATHMANDU: The movie “I Am Jit Bahadur”, starring comedian and actor Jitu Nepal, is set to release across cinemas nationwide this Friday.

Ahead of its official release, a grand premiere was held in Kathmandu on Wednesday, drawing prominent figures from Nepal’s film industry and cultural sector.

The premiere witnessed a strong presence of veteran artists and well-known personalities, including Madan Krishna Shrestha, director Tulsi Ghimire, actresses Keki Adhikari and Swastima Khadka, director Pradeep Bhattarai, comedian and director Deepa Shree Niraula, comedian Manoj Gajurel, actor Narad Khatiwada, director Nawaraj Poudel, actor Mahesh Tripathi, and several others from the entertainment fraternity.

Following the screening, filmmakers and attendees praised the film’s storyline, presentation, and particularly Jitu Nepal’s performance.

Many described the film as emotionally engaging and entertaining, highlighting its balance of humor and sentiment.

Directed by Subhendu Ghosh, the film is produced by Jitu Nepal himself. Rajan Simkhada and Dipendra Adhikari serve as co-producers, while Nischal Kunwar and Niraj Nepal are executive producers.

The digital rights have been acquired by OSR Digital, and distribution is being handled by RR Films.

The film tells the story of Jitbahadur, a simple, cheerful man from a village who dreams of becoming an actor. It follows his journey from a small village stage to pursuing his passion in cinema, depicting his struggles, determination, and emotional ups and downs along the way.

The cast includes Jitu Nepal, Barsha Raut, Priyanka Karki, Sandeep Chhetri, Deshbhakta Khanal, Sara Sharma, Anshu Maharjan, Pawan Khatiwada, Rajan Simkhada, and Mishel Ghimire among others.
