KATHMANDU: Gold prices surged sharply on Friday, with the rate increasing by Rs 3,500 per tola.

According to the Nepal Gold, Silver, and Jewelry Entrepreneurs’ Association, gold, which was priced at Rs 253,100 per tola on Thursday, rose to Rs 256,600 on Friday.

Silver also saw a notable rise, climbing Rs 100 per tola.

The price of silver increased from Rs 3,805 on Thursday to Rs 3,905 on Friday.
