Dharmendra stable, Sunny Deol urges fans to stop rumours

KATHMANDU: Bollywood legend Dharmendra was admitted to Mumbai’s Breach Candy Hospital on Monday after a sudden decline in his health.

The news sparked concern among fans, with several celebrities rushing to the hospital to check on the veteran actor.

Amid growing speculation, Sunny Deol provided an update on his father’s condition, assuring fans that Dharmendra is stable and under observation.

He urged everyone to refrain from spreading rumors and to respect the family’s privacy.

“Mr. Dharmendra is stable and under observation. Further updates will be shared as available. Kindly avoid spreading false information regarding his health. We request everyone to pray for his speedy recovery and respect the family’s privacy,” read a statement from Sunny Deol’s team.

Earlier, Dharmendra’s wife and renowned politician, Hema Malini, also addressed fans’ concerns via Instagram. “I thank everyone for their concern about Dharam ji, who is in the hospital for observation. He is being continuously monitored, and we are all with him. I request you all to pray for his well-being and speedy recovery,” she wrote.

On Monday evening, several family members, including Sunny Deol, Bobby Deol, Karan Deol, and Rajveer Deol, were seen arriving at the hospital. Bollywood stars, such as Salman Khan, Govinda, and Ameesha Patel, also visited to check on the actor.

Dharmendra is celebrated for his iconic performances in films like Phool Aur Patthar, Seeta Aur Geeta, Raja Jani, Yaadon Ki Baaraat, Sholay, Dharam Veer, and many more. In 2023, he appeared in Karan Johar’s Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani, starring Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt. He is set to appear next in the film Ikkis.
