KATHMANDU: 9N-AXX aircraft of Nepal Airlines Corporation have been repaired in Israel and brought to Kathmandu.

According to Ramesh Paudel, spokesperson for Nepal Airlines Corporation (NAC), the aircraft, which had undergone maintenance in Israel, landed at Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA) in Kathmandu on Saturday evening.

Paudel stated, “One of the engines of the said aircraft encountered a technical problem, following which maintenance was carried out as per Israeli regulations at the Maintenance Repair Organization (MRO). After maintenance, the aircraft arrived in Kathmandu on Saturday evening.”

He further added, “During the maintenance process, it was observed that apart from the necessary technical checks, a total of 31 blades inside the engine needed replacement, as reported by the MRO and engineers and technicians of the Corporation. Due to the unavailability of related spare parts in the market, there has been some delay in the maintenance work.”

The press release issued by Paudel mentioned, “The Corporation expresses gratitude for the support and coordination provided by the Nepali Embassy in Israel for this work. Serious consideration and analysis will be conducted regarding the engine maintenance delay as per the agreement, and necessary procedures will be expedited accordingly.”
