KATHMANDU: Sneha Lamichhane, a resident of Chitwan, who went missing from Kalanki in Kathmandu a week ago, was discovered on Wednesday at the Pashupati temple.

Her father located her in the evening. She had left home to retrieve a book from the library for her upcoming exam preparations but failed to return, becoming unreachable thereafter.

Studying computer engineering at Sagarmatha Engineering College in Kathmandu, Lamichhane was reportedly under immense academic pressure after struggling with certain subjects in her exams.

According to journalist Rajiv Khatri, Lamichhane was grappling with study pressure, family expectations, and social stressors, eventually choosing solitude as a coping mechanism.

Her mother, Shobha Lamichhane, filed a police report on May 2 after failing to establish contact with her daughter.
