KMC sets deadline for Nepaliization of private school names

KATHMANDU: Kathmandu Metropolitan City (KMC) has issued a notice on Thursday, instructing private schools within the city to Nepaliize their names within a one-month period.

According to Rule 154(1) of the Education Regulations 2059 and Rule 70 of the KMC School Education Management Regulations 2074, the notification emphasizes that the names of private schools should reflect Nepali culture and identity.

The Education Department under the Metropolitan Municipality has requested all private schools to submit an application, along with the decision of the School Management Committee, within one month.

The aim is to rename the schools in a manner that represents Nepaliness.
