KATHMANDU: CPN-UML is making a wide lead in the by-elections held in Ilam-2 under the House of Representatives.

UML candidate Suhang Nemwang made a difference of 2,257 votes.

While Nemwang got 8,088 votes, Congress’ Dambar Bahadur Khadka got 5,831 votes.

Dakendrasingh Thegim, a pro-identity candidate, got 4,430 votes, while Milan Yonghang of the Rastriya Swatantra Party got 1,198 votes.
