KATHMANDU: The main opposition party, the CPN (UML), has sought for Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal during the House of Representatives meeting.

The main opposition party, the CPN (UML), declared Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal absent from Friday’s House of Representatives meeting.

Speaking at the meeting, UML MP Surya Bahadur Thapa suggested that the prime minister and ministers be searched.

He stated that the government should be held accountable to the parliament, but it is not.

He also questioned what prevented the prime minister from resigning or dismissing the minister found guilty in the Balkumari case.

He also questioned whether the government should be held accountable for the various questions raised on the government, but should a high-level committee be formed to search for the prime minister, or should the parliament be adjourned.

He expressed regret that the self-employed workers were attacked in Sundhara in Kathmandu. He also demanded treatment for the injured.
