Pregnant women rescued by helicopter

KATHMANDU: A pregnant woman was rescued by a Nepalese army helicopter from the Himali Rural Municipality-1 Bichchyan health post in the district’s eastern northern section.

According to the District Administration Office Bajura, Kalpana Rokaya, a 23-year-old pregnant women from rural municipality-1, was rescued and taken to Surkhet State Hospital after her bleeding did not stop and her uterus was blocked due to a lack of vaginal discharge.

According to Chief District Officer Bhimkant Paudel, she was rescued by a Nepali Army chopper as part of the President’s Women Upliftment Program.

According to Raj Bahadur Bhandari, Coordinator of Rural Municipality Health Branch, Rokaya came to Vichchyan Health Clinic this morning to give birth. The child was rescued after the bleeding did not stop for four hours after birth.
