Class 12 grade enhancement exam starts today

KATHMANDU: The National Examination Board has begun the class 12 grade enhancement examination today.

Dr. Mahashram Sharma, the board’s chairperson, said that the grade increase exam began today for students who got ‘non-graded’ (NG) class 12 results on Shrawan 30 (Aug 15).

The grade enhancement exam is only for students who received a non-grade, i.e. NG, in their class 12th exam results. The examination will be held today and Wednesday, according to Krishna Prasad Sharma, the board’s examination controller. He stated that the test began at 11 a.m. and would last until 2 p.m.

On the first day, the examination of all the subjects of the examinees taking only one subject, for the examinees taking the examination on two subjects, the subject with a small code number of the subjects they are taking the examination, but the examinees who will participate in the grade increase examination on both compulsory English and compulsory Nepali subjects, on the first day, compulsory English and compulsory Nepali on the second day There will be an examination of the subject.

Similarly, he informed that on the second day, for the candidates taking the exam in two subjects, the exam will be conducted on the subject with the larger code number among the subjects to be given.

One lakh 23 thousand three hundred ninety six examinees have participated in the grade increase examination in the examination which started simultaneously in a total of four hundred and nineteen examination centers across the country.

Among them, 79,584 students who are non-graded i.e. NG in only one subject are participating in the exam.

According to the letter grading guidelines, if a subject does not get even 35 percent marks, it is non-graded (NG).

Examination Controller Sharma informed that the examination started peacefully in examination centers all over the country.
