Driver killed, co-driver injured in Kalikot truck accident

SURKHET: A truck accident has occurred in Kalikot. The driver died in the accident.

A mini truck numbered Karnali State 02001 Kha 0356, which was carrying gas cylinders from Mugu to Surkhet, met with an accident at Dhanada in Tilagufa Municipality-5 at 1:15 am on Thursday.

The co-driver was injured in the accident. The driver of the truck, 28-year-old Chhabi Prasad Chaulagain of Chamunda Bindrasaini Municipality-7 Paltada, Dailekh, died during treatment at Karnali Institute of Health Sciences (Jumla).

The 18-year-old co-driver Dinesh Shahi, who was injured in the accident, is being treated at the Karnali Institute of Health Sciences, Jumla, District Police Office Kalikot Police Inspector Subraj Bam informed.
