KATHMANDU: The Manakamana Cable Car, which carries visitors to Gorkha’s popular religious site, Manakamana Temple, has reopened today.

The cable car, which had been closed due to damage to its panel board caused by a lack of power, has reopened after 11 days.

Cable Car Owner Rajesh Babu Shrestha stated that technicians and equipment were brought from Austria to resolve the problem.

He stated that cable service has been operational since this morning.

Ujjwol Sherchan, Station Manager, informed that the cable car is now operational after new instruments were installed and the service was tested.

The Manakamana cable car was shut down completely after its panel board caught fire on Dec 26.
