MDMS implementation halted

KATHMANDU: Nepal Telecommunication Authority (NTA) has decided not to implement Mobile Device Management System (MDMS).

This was stated in a notification issued by the authority on Friday afternoon.

According to the authority, this system, which will be used to track and block mobile phones brought back from foreign employment, has been halted indefinitely until further notice.

Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal has directed that the system that the government plans to implement beginning today be postponed.
