Nepal suffers 5-0 defeat against Bahrain in World Cup qualifiers

KATHMANDU: Nepal faced a crushing defeat against Bahrain in the World Cup and Asian Cup qualifying match, losing 5-0 at the National Stadium in Bahrain.

Bahrain showcased dominance with three goals in the first half and adding two more in the second.

This marks Nepal’s third consecutive defeat in Group H, following earlier losses of 4-0 to UAE and 2-0 to Yemen.

Bahrain, on the other hand, secured their second win, accumulating 6 points in the qualifiers.

Nepal is set to face Bahrain again next Tuesday night, playing both home and away matches in Bahrain due to the unavailability of the Dashrath Stadium.
