KATHMANDU: In State Assembly Area No. 1 of Bajhang, CPN (UML) candidate Daman Bhandari maintains a steady lead.

During vote counting in Wards 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, and 6 of Chabispathivera Rural Municipality, CPN (UML) candidate Bhandari has secured 1505 votes.

Similarly, Maoist Centre candidate Janak Budha holds the second position. He has garnered 995 votes.

In third place is Nepali Congress candidate Abhishek Singh with 918 votes.

Likewise, Dil Bahadur Singh from CPN (Unified Socialist) is in fourth place with 577 votes, while Kishor Khadka from Rastriya Prajatantra Party has secured 20 votes. Badar has received 67 votes.

A total of 30,328 individuals cast their votes in the by-election held in Bajhang on Saturday.
