Ilam-2: Suhang widens lead by a thousand votes

KATHMANDU: In the by-election held in Ilam-2, CPN (UML) candidate Suhang Nembang has extended his lead by a thousand votes.

According to the latest results from the Election Commission, Suhang has garnered 3,783 votes.

His closest competitor is Damar Khadka from the Nepali Congress. Khadka has secured 2,782 votes.

Vote counting has been conducted in Wards 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, and 6 of Phakphokthum Rural Municipality.

The Rastriya Swatantra Party is trailing significantly. Its candidate Milan Limbu has received 561 votes.

Independent candidate Dakendra Limbu has garnered more votes than him. Dakendra has received 784 votes.
