TikToker Tulsa Adhikari returned to custody as hearing incomplete
Adhikari is currently facing charges including fraud, money laundering, and criminal profiteering.
KATHMANDU: TikTok personality Tulsa Adhikari, widely known as “Tulsa Collection,” has been sent back to police custody after the district court could not complete her bail (custody hearing) proceedings.
Adhikari, who was arrested in Thailand on Friday, was brought before the Lalitpur District Court following her return and initially presented at the District Police Complex Lalitpur.
She is accused in a major fraud case filed by the operator of “Hamro Automobiles” in Satdobato, who lodged a complaint on 24 Shrawan 2082 BS, alleging that Adhikari cheated him of Rs 65.2 million (Rs 6 crore 52 lakh 29 thousand 75).
Following the complaint, she went into hiding and is believed to have travelled via China before reaching Thailand.
Authorities had issued an international alert through Interpol after she absconded.

The court hearing for her detention order began on Monday, but could not be concluded.
According to District Police spokesperson SSP Hobindra Bogati, she will be produced again before the court on Tuesday after being kept in custody as the hearing remains incomplete.
