KATHMANDU: The Scientific Socialist Student Organization, Nepal staged a protest at Maitighar Mandala in Kathmandu on Sunday afternoon, opposing recent remarks made by the Prime Minister and alleged Indian encroachment in the Susta region.

During the demonstration, participants strongly criticized the Prime Minister’s statement made during a parliamentary address, in which he suggested that Nepal may have encroached on Indian territory in some areas. The remarks have already sparked widespread debate and backlash in the country.

Protesters also raised concerns over ongoing alleged Indian interference and territorial pressure in Susta, demanding an immediate end to what they described as “imperialist intervention.”

Chanting slogans such as “Stop imperialist interference on weak nations,” “Let me speak, government,” “Down with Indian imperialism,” and “Long live student unity,” demonstrators displayed placards reflecting nationalist and anti-intervention sentiments.
