KATHMANDU: Islamabad Police have arrested the prime suspect in the murder of rising TikTok star Sana Yousaf, who was shot dead at her residence in Sector G-13.

The suspect, a resident of Punjab, had prior acquaintance with the victim, pointing to a personal dispute as the motive behind the killing.

According to investigators, the suspect visited Sana Yousaf at her home, where the fatal shooting occurred.
After the incident, he fled the scene, prompting an intensive police manhunt. Authorities have since recovered the murder weapon from his possession.
The case was initially registered at Sumbal Police Station based on a complaint filed by Sana’s mother.
The FIR was lodged against an unknown individual. However, a comprehensive review of surveillance footage from Safe City cameras and Expressway checkpoints enabled police to track the suspect’s movements and ultimately apprehend him.
