KATHMANDU: Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli is scheduled to deliver a special address at the House of Representatives today, ahead of his official visit to China beginning Saturday.

In his address, the Prime Minister is expected to brief Parliament on the key agendas of his China trip, dimensions of Nepal-China relations, and the anticipated outcomes of the visit.

He is also likely to touch upon his upcoming visit to India, planned immediately after his return from China.

Sources suggest that PM Oli will also address pressing national issues, including the ongoing border dispute and the country’s latest political developments.

The importance of his address was highlighted during a discussion between Speaker Devraj Ghimire and chief whips at Singha Durbar on Thursday.

Meanwhile, the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP), which has been boycotting parliamentary proceedings over the misuse of visit visas, has decided to allow the Prime Minister to deliver his address today.
