PM Oli skips events citing exhaustion from heavy workload

KATHMANDU: Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has said he was feeling exhausted due to the continuous workload and therefore did not attend any public events on Thursday.
In a post shared on social media Friday morning, PM Oli mentioned that he had taken a brief rest the previous day but is now heading to the drought-affected districts of Mahottari and Bara for an on-site assessment.
“I was exhausted due to the pressure of continuous day-and-night work. That’s why I didn’t attend any events yesterday,” he wrote. “Today, I am visiting Mahottari and Bara. Due to the prolonged dry spell in the Terai-Madhesh region, paddy transplantation hasn’t been possible even by the first week of Shrawan. I want to observe the situation firsthand and hear from the local farmers.”
He added that he looks forward to meeting the brothers and sisters of Bara and Mahottari during the visit.
