KATHMANDU: Spain delivered a dominant performance to defeat Saudi Arabia 4-0 in their FIFA World Cup 2026 Group H clash at Atlanta Stadium, strengthening their chances of reaching the knockout stage.

Lamine Yamal opened the scoring in the 10th minute before Mikel Oyarzabal doubled Spain’s lead in the 21st minute.

Oyarzabal struck again just three minutes later to make it 3-0 before halftime.

Saudi Arabia’s Hassan Al Tambakti added to Spain’s advantage with an own goal in the 49th minute, sealing a comfortable victory for the European side.

Neither team managed to find the net again, as Spain secured all three points with a commanding display.

The win lifts Spain to the top of Group H with four points from two matches, putting them in a strong position to advance to the knockout rounds. Uruguay, Saudi Arabia and Cape Verde each have one point.
