KATHMANDU:  Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli is chairing a cabinet meeting at Baluwatar, which began on schedule under the supervision of his private secretariat.

The meeting is expected to focus on the upcoming China visit. Prime Minister Oli is set to depart tomorrow for Tianjin to attend the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) Summit, where he will also hold a bilateral meeting with Chinese President Xi Jinping in the evening, according to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

The cabinet is likely to finalize agendas, discussion points, and preparations related to the visit, while also addressing other pressing national issues and key decisions.

Following the meeting, PM Oli is scheduled to address the House of Representatives at 1 PM, sharing details of his China visit and views on matters of national importance.

Later in the afternoon, at 3:15 PM, he will attend the 32nd anniversary celebration of the National Sports Council.
