Parliamentary Committee approves three industry monitoring reports

KATHMANDU: On Friday, the Industry, Commerce, Labour, and Consumer Welfare Committee of the House of Representatives unanimously approved three field monitoring reports during a meeting held at Singha Durbar.

According to Committee Chairperson Abdul Khan, the approved reports include findings from field visits conducted in Jhapa, Udayapur, Sunsari, and Morang districts, a study report by the Subcommittee on Customs Duty and Internal Taxes on sponge iron and billets, and an on-site monitoring report of industries and customs offices in Makwanpur, Bara, and Parsa districts.

The committee also decided to review the implementation status of its previous decisions and directives issued to concerned stakeholders.

Furthermore, the committee will engage in discussions and evaluations with relevant authorities regarding the progress of government and stakeholder compliance with the committee’s instructions.
