RSP Minister Pokharel files candidacy for Central Committee member
Pokharel registered his nomination under the open category for the central member position.
KATHMANDU: Education and Sports Minister Sasmit Pokharel has filed his candidacy for the post of Central Committee member of the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) during its first general convention ongoing in Chitwan from Sunday.
Pokharel registered his nomination under the open category for the central member position.
Former captain of the Nepal national cricket team Gyanendra Malla is the proposer of his candidacy, while 21 party representatives have supported his nomination.
After filing his nomination, Pokharel expressed his commitment to strengthening the party’s ideology, values, and campaign with honesty and dedication.
He said he seeks the trust and support of party members to contribute effectively to the organization’s mission.
“I have filed my candidacy for the Central Committee of RSP. I am committed to working honestly to further strengthen the party’s principles, values, and campaign, and I seek your trust and support,” he said.
Pokharel, who is currently serving as Education and Sports Minister in the government led by PM Balen Shah, is also a Member of Parliament elected from Kathmandu Constituency No. 5 under the RSP banner.
