KATHMANDU: The Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) has introduced a hybrid voting system for its ongoing general convention, allowing both foreign-based and domestic representatives to participate through separate digital and electronic platforms.

According to the party, members of its foreign liaison division who are unable to attend the convention in person will be able to cast their votes through a dedicated mobile application.

The arrangement has been made for overseas representatives, including those selected through the party’s international coordination structure.

Out of a total of 163 representatives based abroad, those unable to be physically present will be able to vote remotely via the app, the party confirmed.

For delegates attending the convention in person, RSP has arranged electronic voting machines (EVMs), with a total of 80 units deployed to facilitate the process.

The party said the dual voting arrangement has been designed to make the convention more efficient, accessible, and technology-friendly while ensuring participation from both domestic and international representatives.
