NC expresses sorrow over Ramakanta’s demise

KATHMANDU: The Nepali Congress has extended sorrow over the demise of Ramakanta Chaudhary, a Nepali Congress leader and member of Nepal Teachers’ Association, Bara.

Ramakanta is the elder brother of Umakanta Chaudhary, joint general-secretary of the NC.

Issuing a condolence message today, Chief Secretary of the NC Party Office, Krishna Prasad Poudel extended grief over demise of Ramakanta, who died on August 22 while undergoing treatment at Nepal Mediciti Hospital.

Born on Bhadra 15, 2013 BS, late Ramakanta Chaudhary had played active role in the movement for the establishment of democracy and its reinstatement.

According to the NC, with the demise of Ramakanta, the party has lost a promising personality.

Paying tribute to late Ramakanta, NC President Sher Bahadur Deuba has, on the behalf of the party and his own, expressed deep condolences to the bereaved family members, including Umakanta Chaudhary.
