National Life donates Rs 10M for post-protest reconstruction

KATHMANDU: National Life Insurance Co. Ltd. has contributed Rs 10 million to the Physical Infrastructure Reconstruction Fund established by the Government of Nepal.

The donation is aimed at supporting the reconstruction of public infrastructure, economic recovery, and relief efforts following damages caused during the Jenji protests and demonstrations across the country on Sept 8 and 9.

The cheque was handed over to Finance Minister Rameshwar Prasad Khanal today in a special ceremony by the company’s Chief Executive Officer, Suresh Prasad Khatri, and Deputy General Manager, Prajwal Sayami.

As part of its corporate social responsibility, the company has pledged continued support for similar initiatives in the future.

CEO Khatri noted that the company has previously contributed to sectors including education, health, disaster management, and environmental protection.

The company allocates one percent of its net annual profit to its corporate social responsibility fund, in line with regulatory directives, to support initiatives like this.
