The workshop is currently underway at the Kantipur Film Academy.

Principal photography for the film is scheduled to begin this Friday, with the majority of shooting planned in the scenic locations of Kavre district.

Mirmire marks the first on-screen collaboration between Dayahang Rai and Prakash Saput. It will be Sherpa’s second directorial venture with Dayahang Rai, following their earlier project Karsang.

Presented by Yarsa Films, Mirmire also stars actress Sirjana Ninglekhu and actor Mao Tse Gurung.

Director Yam Sherpa has penned the story himself, although he has chosen to keep the plot under wraps for now.

The film is produced by Nimu Sherpa, Chongba Lama Sherpa, and Angchhiring Sherpa. Co-producers include Govinda Bohora, Sudip Kunwar, and Ishwar Shrestha.
Rohit Kattel—also a well-known distributor and owner of RR Films—serves as the executive producer.
Mirmire is slated for release in 2082 B.S., though an exact premiere date is yet to be announced. RR Films will handle the distribution.
