KATHMANDU: Koshi Province government has decided to set up physical infrastructure offices in all 14 districts starting from the upcoming fiscal year.

The decision was made during the Cabinet meeting held on Monday, which approved the Organizational and Management (ONM) structure for the Ministry of Physical Infrastructure.

Previously, Koshi Province had seven urban development offices and seven infrastructure offices. According to Minister for Internal Affairs and Law, Revatiraman Bhandari, these offices were not present in every district, and some districts had both urban and infrastructure offices.

As a result, one office often had to oversee work in two or three districts.

With the new plan, each district will have its own dedicated office, allowing the office to focus solely on its district’s needs.

This change is expected to streamline service delivery and improve efficiency.

Minister Bhandari emphasized that the move will lead to faster, more effective, and more responsive service.
