KATHMANDU: Nepal Premier League (NPL) franchise Karnali Yaks have retained seven players, including national team all-rounder Sompal Kami, for the upcoming Season 3 of the Siddhartha Bank Nepal Premier League.

Sompal Kami has been confirmed as the marquee player for the third consecutive season, underlining his continued leadership role within the squad.

Alongside him, Karnali Yaks have retained Gulshan Jha, Nandan Yadav, Pawan Sarraf, Yuvraj Khatiwada, Yunish Vikram Singh Thakuri, and Deepak Dumre.

The franchise has released Arjun Gharti, Deependra Rawat, Imran Sheikh, and Bipin Khatri ahead of the new season.

Yaks director Gyanendra Malla said the decision was made in line with league regulations, despite all players contributing significantly in the previous season.

Malla thanked the released players for their efforts and wished them success in the upcoming auction.

He also expressed confidence that the revamped squad will perform strongly in Season 3.

Karnali Yaks finished sixth in the previous season and are now preparing for a more competitive campaign ahead
