Harka demands PM Shah’s clarification in Parliament over controversy

KATHMANDU: Harka Raj Rai (Sampang), chair of the Shrama Sanskriti Party, has demanded that Prime Minister Balendra Shah personally appear in Parliament to clarify the ongoing controversy.

Speaking at today’s House of Representatives meeting, Rai stressed that the government must remain accountable to Parliament and answer public concerns directly on the floor of the House.

The session, originally scheduled for 11:00 AM, was delayed until 3:15 PM following efforts by ruling and opposition parties to reach a consensus.

Opposition lawmakers have been raising questions over the Prime Minister’s remarks regarding the Nepal–India border issue, insisting that he himself should come to Parliament and provide a clear explanation.
