KATHMANDU: Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP) parliamentary leader Gyan Bahadur Shahi has stressed that border-related matters are extremely sensitive and require a united stance from both the ruling and opposition parties.

Speaking in Wednesday’s session of the House of Representatives Nepal, after Foreign Minister Shisir Khanal delivered his statement, Shahi reiterated his demand to correct remarks suggesting that Nepal had encroached on Indian territory.

He emphasized that Nepali citizens living along the border are continuously working to defend the nation, urging Parliament to take their situation seriously and treat border security and sovereignty with the highest level of responsibility.

Shahi also called for political unity on sensitive national issues, warning that such matters should not be politicized but handled with consensus and caution.
