Actor & performer Ghanshyam Gautam passes away
He breathed his last at the Kathmandu Cancer Hospital in Bhaktapur while undergoing treatment.
KATHMANDU: Renowned actor and stage performer Ghanshyam Gautam, widely known for portraying the character of ‘Fake Prachanda’ in various television shows and satirical dramas, passed away on Monday night. He was 43.
According to family sources, Gautam had been battling stomach cancer for the past two years.
He breathed his last at the Kathmandu Cancer Hospital in Bhaktapur while undergoing treatment.
Gautam was a familiar face in Nepali entertainment, having appeared in popular television series such as Meri Bassai.
In addition to TV shows, he was actively involved in street dramas, radio plays, and courtroom-style theatrical performances.
He was also dedicated to teaching acting in schools and mentoring aspiring performers.
His final rites are scheduled to be held on Tuesday morning at the Pashupati Aryaghat.
