Tiger behind two people deaths dies

KATHMANDU: The tiger that killed 2 people in Makwanpur’s Manahari has died.

A female tiger that was rescued from Manahari and brought to Sauraha after attacking humans while unable to hunt has died.

The information officer of the park, Ganesh Prasad Tiwari, informed that the tiger, which had been ill since Saturday, died on Sunday.

The tiger, estimated to be around 10 years old, had been kept in captivity in a cage in Sauraha.

The tiger was rescued last Mangsir with an injured leg. Since then, the tiger was being treated in the cage.

In the current financial year, 7 tigers have died in Chitwan.

According to the calculation of 2022, there are 355 tigers in Nepal and 128 in Chitwan National Park (CNP).
