Congress MP Tek Bahadur Gurung’s suspension lifted
The Supreme Court ruled in favor of Gurung, who filed a petition demanding that the suspension be lifted.
KATHMANDU: The suspension of Nepali Congress MP Tek Bahadur Gurung has been lifted.
General Secretary Padma Prasad Pandey issued a notice in the Federal Parliament on Wednesday and announced that the suspension was lifted as per the order of the Supreme Court.
The Supreme Court ruled in favor of Gurung, who filed a petition demanding that the suspension be lifted.
Congress MP Gurung, who was elected as a member of the House of Representatives from Manang, was suspended on Poush 12, 2079 (27 December , 2022).
Following the suspension, Gurung filed a writ on March 5.
He was the Minister of State for Labor and Employment under the leadership of the then Prime Minister Sushil Koirala and was accused of corruption when he leased the land of Kathmandu Fun Park.
