Mahalaxmi Bikas distributes Hira Giri Scholarship
Established in memory of the late Hira Giri, founder chair of Mahalaxmi Finance, the Hira Giri scholarship has been provided by the bank in collaboration with various financial institutions.
KATHMANDU: Mahalaxmi Bikas Bank, with its unwavering commitment to providing simple, accessible, and quality financial services to the Nepali public for the past 29 years, has awarded the late Hira Giri Scholarship to student Jivan Rajbanshi, currently studying in Class Ten at Shree Kadambari Academy, Shripur, Birgunj.
Established in memory of the late Hira Giri, founder chair of Mahalaxmi Finance, the Hira Giri scholarship has been provided by the bank in collaboration with various financial institutions.
Shyam Sundar Rungta, a member of the board of directors of Mahalaxmi Finance, transferred the scholarship to Mr. Bhawarlal Parik, chair of Aama Ko Maya Hostel, in remembrance of Hira Giri.
With the objective of supporting students in their studies despite challenging economic circumstances, the bank has made available scholarships worth Rs. 50,000 each.
Speaking at the program, Mr. Shyam Sundar Rungta, a member of the board of directors of the bank, expressed that quality education is indispensable as students are the leaders of the country. Mr. Bhawarlal Parik, Chair of Aama Ko Maya Hostel, informed that such scholarships will help in quality education and expressed his gratitude for the support of the bank.
The bank has informed that it will continue its corporate social responsibility activities more effectively in the coming days.
