Dozens including CK Raut held from Maitighar

KATHMANDU: Over a dozen activists, including Janamat Party Chair and Member of Parliament C.K. Raut, have been arrested from Maitighar.

They had gathered at the Babar Mahal-based Art Council to mark Dhoti Diwas and were moving towards the prohibited area of Maitighar when the police detained them.

Despite warning them not to demonstrate in the restricted zone, the activists, who were planning a protest in the prohibited area, were arrested by the police.

The police arrested them after they refused to obey the warning.

Currently, they are kept at the Mahendra Police Club.
